The EAE Foundation initiates a prestigious book project entitled
This project aims to strengthen the cultural ties between Amsterdam and New York. Among other things, it connects Dutch descendants in the US with the artistic heritage of the city that founded New York.
Art museums in Amsterdam participate in a tribute to the capital as an international art city. The most iconic works from each museum are selected. In this way, a never-before-seen collection of the most beautiful art treasures is brought together.
This tribute includes bringing together the most beautiful works of art. Together, these museums own a total of almost four million works of art. From this gigantic quantity, the crème de la crème is brought together as the fine fleur of Amsterdam’s art heritage. Never before the ultimate beauty from Amsterdam’s museums has been shown in this way in one magisterial art book.
The book will be published in a Dutch version under the title
Both art books appear as magnificent – must have -coffee table books in a limited edition of one thousand copies, signed, numbered and certified in a luxury case with a specially designed book stand.
A public edition will also be published in a smaller format.
